“With this wheelchair I am able to get about, participate in the daily activities together with the other residents and join in and watch the entertainers visiting our nursing home,’” says Grace Carter, resident at Kingswood Court Nursing and Residential Home for the elderly. The recent Embassy of Man donation of three lightweight wheelchairs to Kingswood greatly improved the quality of care given to the residents. The wheelchairs are very practical due to its weight and breaks on the handles, enabling members of staff to manoeuvre them easily. In that way residents can maintain a better quality of life by being involved and mobile with the assistance given. The photograph below was taken when Kristin Jacoby, General Manager at Express by Holiday Inn Wimbledon- South, presented the wheelchairs to Kingswood.
