On 29th May the Express by Holiday inn Burton-upon-
Trent was host to a whole range of soap stars and
celebrities as they stopped over after the first leg of a
180 mile charity cycle ride from the Coronation Street
set in Manchester to the Queen Victoria pub on the
EastEnders set in London. This magnificent initiative was
organised by the Rhys Daniels Trust. This charity
provides home from home accommodation at hospital
locations for families who have to move to specialised
hospitals after the trauma of having a child diagnosed
with a serious or life threatening illness. Embassy of Man
donated £250 towards sponsoring this worthy cause.
 Another worthy cause our staff wanted to support was
one of the local churches, Stapenhill Church Chapel.
Our hotel donated the old dining chairs and the
congregation has already started using them and will
benefit greatly from the donation for the next couple of
years.
