With the support of the Children's Safety Education
Foundation, the Embassy of Man has agreed to sponsor a
safety programme for 6-11 year olds at the King William
Street School in Swindon for the coming academic year.
The Children's Safety Education Foundation which is
endorsed by the Wiltshire Ambulance Service works
closely with all the local emergency services. The
programme sponsored by our charity has been designed
with the co-operation of the emergency services, social
services' educationalists and child protection personnel
with the sole aim of preparing those pupils involved to
grow up safely in today's society. The children will use
textbooks covering topics such as basic first aid training,
drug awareness, internet and fire safety, thus providing
teachers with class room aids to deliver effective personal,
social, health and citizen education.
Without donations from our guests, Embassy of Man
would not have been able to make this kind of donation:
one that will help the local residents as well as preparing
our children for future life. In the words of Anne Morrow
Lindbergh: 'One can never pay in gratitude; one can only
pay "in kind" somewhere else in life.'
