Eureka! The commitment Embassy of Man has made to
build homes for five displaced families in Sri Lanka after
the tsunami is now a reality with 5 new houses neatly
lined up at Kalutara, a town located 35km south of
Colombo. This land area is called 'Mhikatawatte -
Duwa' and there are about 20 new houses in the near
vicinity. The roadway, water and electricity in the local
area have been provided by the Sri Lankan
Government.
Embassy of Man prides itself in being part of the
rebuilding of Sri Lanka, albeit on a small scale. Our
involvement made a significant and very positive
difference in the lives of those who would benefit from a
new home. We are extremely eager to introduce those
families to our supporters and hope to keep you
updated about their progress in future newsletters. But
for now, everyone involved in this project will be
celebrating when the houses are finalised at the end of
September 2006. We could not have seen this project
come to fruition without your generous contribution.
Thank you for your support.
